Washington, April 13 (RHC)-- U.S. police have arrested 85 more protesters taking part in the "Democracy Sping" actions against corporate lobbying and big money in politics.  This comes after more than 400 people were arrested after a sit-in at the U.S. Capitol on Monday.

The protesters are demanding that the U.S. Congress "to end the corruption of big money in politics and ensure free and fair elections."  A group called Democracy Spring organized the demonstration.

The Democracy Spring movement protesters called on U.S. lawmakers to take serious measures to reduce the influence of money in politics, expand and protect voting rights.  The demonstrators also demanded that the Senate fulfill its constitutional responsibilities pertaining to the Supreme Court.

The corporate networks widely ignored Monday’s arrests.  According to a tally by The Intercept, CNN did not devote any coverage to the protests, MSNBC mentioned them for only 12 seconds, and Fox News gave them 17 seconds.
