Havana, November 3 (RHC)-- Cuba presented a new draft resolution at the United Nations, calling for a global fight against the use of mercenaries.

The text was introduced Monday during a session of the Third Commission of the UN General Assembly, which focuses on safeguarding human rights.

It states that in today's world, marked by armed conflicts, terrorism, arms trafficking and covert operations by some states against others, mercenary soldiers are in very high demand.
