Israeli threats of war

Many countries, including some Western powers, have warned Israel's Zionist regime about the consequences of carrying out the annexation of the Occupied Palestinian Territories -- a decision that can sweep away the little possibility of peace in the Middle East.

That insane proposal is reflected in the project created by the Donald Trump administration for that region, presented under the deceptive name of "Peace to Prosperity" and also known as "The Deal of the Century."

The document actually only addresses the interests of Tel Aviv and sacrifices the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to have a sovereign state, respecting the pre-1967 borders, and with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The plan, which was only consulted or approved by one of the two parties in conflict, seeks to give Israel the right to annex the Occupied Palestinean Territories during the so-called "Six Day war” plus the stolen lands in the construction of illegal settlements.

In addition, they would be allowed to appropriate the Jordan Valley, a vast strip of land of 105 kilometers of extension that represents 30 percent of the West Bank, and is the best irrigated and most suitable soil for agriculture in the region.

The Russian government has warned that Palestinian territories annexed to Israel would not only eliminate the possibility of two States once and for all -- a solution approved by the United Nations Security Council -- but would also unleash a new cycle of violence.

The same warning was made by UN Secretary-General Antonio Gutérrez and Ahmed Abul Ghei, head of the Arab League.

Soad Rumman, a Palestinian diplomat, recalled that the Israeli illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian areas constitute a war crime, as established by the IV Geneva Convention and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

The dispossession was condemned by the international community through the Resolution 2334 of the UN Security Council, adopted in 2016, with 14 votes in favor and the abstention of the United States.

This Tuesday, Germany, France, Egypt and Jordan called on Israel to abandon this project and warned they would not recognize any modification to the 1967 borders other than that accepted by Palestine.

Zionist plans were to be implemented on July 1st, but the head of government Benjamin Netanyahu has delayed the process, perhaps because Tump has not yet given the green light.
