The Ministry of Culture of Cuba informed on Friday that as part of the measures to confront the new coronavirus, it has decided to postpone massive national and international artistic events that involve large crowds.

On its Facebook page, the organization stated that in the same way, art shows in the main theaters, cinemas, and music houses, among other cultural centers, are suspended, as well as concerts and dancing, until the current situation is overcome.

The resumption of these activities will be announced in due course.

The note concluded with the Ministry´s apologies for the inconveniences that these decisions may cause, and reiterating that they are adopted, in the interest of protecting the Cuban population.
