Havana, June 28 (RHC)-- Cuban pianist Roberto Fonseca gave the opening concert at the tenth edition of the Piano City Milano Festival, which featured more than 100 concerts by Italian and foreign musicians, from June 25th through the 27th. Roberto Fonseca’s concert took place at the Gallery of Modern Art.
The Association Piano City Milan and the municipality of Milan, said the three-day event turned the Italian city of Milan into a huge stage that spread musical notes of hundreds of piano all over the city. All concerts were free for the joy of its citizens and tourists.
‘What a wonderful, special night,’ wrote the multi-award-winning Cuban instrumentalist on his Instagram account. It’s been a great honor. I’m thrilled to have been chosen to open the tenth edition of the Piano City Milano 2021.
During the concert, Fonseca delighted his audience and critics alike with pieces from his vast repertoire as well as some premieres.
