Focused on bringing the island's public closer to the seventh art of that Asian nation, the selection of half a dozen materials was shown at the Multicine Infanta, according to the digital portal Cubacine.

The exhibition of these films was one of the actions included in the agenda of a large delegation of Vietnamese guests, who during these days have developed meetings with authorities of the Icaic, the Ministry of Culture and other institutions.

The catalog of this proposal combined different aesthetic styles to put into perspective themes related to current social issues, while articulating different trends in contemporary filmmaking.

According to Icaic's president, Ramon Samada, during the opening ceremony, the event served as an opportunity "to develop, expand and diversify our cooperation ties in a mutually beneficial way. Let us work together in this renewing endeavor.

For his part, Vi Kien Thanh, director general of the Vietnamese Film Department, highlighted the importance of this exhibition, which makes it possible to strengthen cooperation ties between the two institutions.

Among the selected films is Em & Trinh, directed by Phan Gia Nhat Linh, which narrates the relationship between musician Trinh Cong Son, "considered one of the best musicians of all time in Vietnam" and Japanese student Michiko.

Also included in the selection are the drama Dreaming Eyes, by Victor VU (2019), the feature film Thach Thao, by Mai The Hiep (2018); the documentary Children of the Mist, by Ha Ledien (2022) and the film The Legend of Quan Tien, by Dinh TuanVu (2019). (Source: Prensa Latina)
