Peoples' Summit 2023
Havana, July 7 (RHC)-- Singer-songwriter Israel Rojas, leader of popular Buena Fe duo urged goodwill people around the world to participate in the Peoples’ Summit that will hold sessions in parallel to the Summit between the European Union (EU) and the Community of Latin America and Caribbean states (CELAC) in Brussels.
In a message posted on Twitter, Israel referred to the meeting of social organizations and movements.
He charged that love, solidarity and the quest for justice and equity -all make us better human beings.
With the theme: For people’s self-determination and a more democratic, participatory world, the Peoples’ Summit aims to express the views of organizations and civil society defending an alternative development model, based on justice, peace, cooperation and solidarity.
The summit between the EU and the Community of Latin America and Caribbean states (CELAC), in Brussels on July 17th and 18th, will bring together European, Latin American and Caribbean leaders to debate climate change, peace, multilateralism, safe migration and mutually beneficial trade.
