Acosta Danza Yunior will make its international debut in the United Kingdom

London, August 20(RHC) Acosta Danza Yunior will make its international debut at the MAST Mayflower Studios in the British city of Southampton, with a program that celebrates the rich folkloric traditions of Cuba.

 The group, made up of young people from the academy of the famous Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta, will begin its performances tonight and until September 21, according to its director.

From September 19 to 21, our talented young dancers will take the stage to present Green Shoots, Acosta announced on his official Facebook profile.

"I am proud to have seen these dancers grow and prepare to show their art on an international stage," he added.

A few months ago, in February of this year, Acosta Danza Yunior presented the same show at the Teatro Martí in Havana, winning the favor of the public and specialized critics with choreographies by Norge Cedeño, Susana Pous and Raúl Reinoso, among others.

The show Green Shoots shows the usual style of Maestro Acosta, which usually includes styles of contemporary dance as well as classical ballet.

Founded in 2023, Acosta Danza Yunior aims to develop the next generation of dancers who will serve as a breeding ground for Carlos Acosta's Cuban company.    (Source: Latin Press)
