Havana, October 21 (RHC)-- The Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros reached their third victories in the National and American League championship series, respectively, and moved to within one win of advancing to the World Series of Major League Baseball in the United States.

With Dominican pitching by Framber Valdez and an offense led by Cubans Yordan Alvarez and Yulieski Gurriel, the Astros beat the Boston Red Sox 9-1 to take a 3-2 lead in the American League series.

Framber, a 27-year-old left-hander, pitched superbly for 8 complete innings, in which he allowed only three hits and one run on Rafael Devers' home run, while Yordan and Yulieski equally shared six RBIs and six RBIs.

Of Yordan's three hits, two were extra-base hits, a home run and a double, while Yulieski continued to make history by reaffirming himself as the Cuban with the most hits (63), RBIs (33), extra-bases (20) and runs (24) in the postseason.

Now the Astros will return to Houston's Minute Maid Park, where they will look for a victory in two opportunities to reach the World Series again.

The Braves put the Dodgers on the brink by defeating them 9-2 with a ferocious offense that included four home runs by Adam Duval, Freddie Freeman and Puerto Rican Eddie Rosario, who hit two and hit 5-4 to continue to shine in the postseason.

The Dodgers' big star, Mexican Julio Urias, could not do himself justice and gave up 8 hits in 5 innings, with 5 clean runs allowed.

Now the Braves put the series for the National League pennant 3-1 in their favor and with only one success they will reach the World Series.
