Havana, February 7 (RHC)-- The National Women's Chess Championship being played in the eastern Cuban province of Holguin reserves for today, Tuesday, the duel between Lisandra Ordaz from Pinar del Rio and Yaniela Forgas from Santiago, from their leading positions.

The first of them defends the crown of the fair, has an impeccable pace and her most recent victory was achieved against Karen Gutierrez from Matanzas, after 55 moves of a Queen's Gambit in which she led the white pieces and reached five points in six rounds.

In order for Yaniela to reach a similar accumulated score, she defeated, also with black pieces, Patricia Hernandez from Villaclare, in only 33 moves of a Dutch defense, as reported from the headquarters by International Arbiter Roquelina Fandiño.

In the encounter that both leaders will hold, Yaniela will move the clear figures and that "theoretically" offers her a slight advantage, but she will have to confirm it on the board.

Yaniela has already conceded one defeat -to Yerisbel Miranda (PRI)- so far in the joust, and won five times, while Ordaz has two draws and four wins.

Cuban News Agency recalls that Yerisbel was alone behind the leaders, but this Monday she could not get past a draw against Leannet Bosch (SCU) in 27 moves of a Ninzoindia defense and was left with four units, the same as Yuleisy Hernandez (HAB) after beating Oleiny Linares (SCU).

The remaining outcomes of the sixth round favored Ineymig Hernández (CMG), winner against Zirka Frómeta (SCU), and Maritza Arribas (SCU), who beat Yoanna González (HAB).
