Havana, October 29 (RHC)-- Cubans Daniela Darriba and Yasmary Medina placed Cuba in the medal standings of the Biarritz 2022 World Absolute Pelota Vasca Championship, in France.

The Cubans defeated France's Coyos and Dutaret for the third step of the podium, in a very close match (15-11, 10-15 and 10-8) that took place at the Cassin fronton.

The work of the Cubans was very outstanding, especially because they repeated the performance of Barcelona 2018 after an extremely complex period due to the impact of covid-19 and other limitations.
