Vegueros and Avispas hold on to the top in Cuban Baseball
Havana, April 29 (RHC)-- On a day that included the fifth Super KO of the season, the teams of Pinar del Río and Santiago de Cuba won their respective duels and, given the failure of Artemisa, embraced at the top of the LXII National Baseball Series, which today closes its sixth particular subseries.
The Vegueros defeated Ciego de Avila 8-6 at the Capitán San Luis stadium, with an offense of 14 hits and homers by Frank Raúl González and Lázaro Emilio Blanco. Reliever Yancarlos García's fourth smile and fifth save for Orisbel Borges, who got the last two outs of the game.
