Seven Cubans will participate in the World Shooting Sport Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan, a qualifier for next year's Olympic Games.

Havana, July 25 (JIT) - Seven Cubans will participate in the World Shooting Sport Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan, a qualifier for next year's Olympic Games.

The list is headed by double Olympic medalist Leuris Pupo, who in the 25-meter rapid fire pistol will be accompanied by the reigning Pan American and Central Caribbean champion, Jorge Félix Álvarez.

The event will be held from August 14 to 24 and will grant four places in each modality for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

In addition to the "fast" shooters, the riflemen Dianelis Pérez and Lisbet Hernández, and the air and sport pistol specialists Laina Pérez, Sheyla González and Jorge Grau must travel.
