Havana, November 28 (PL) -- Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will be the Spanish protagonists of the Champions League soccer matchday today, both with a good chance of reaching the next stage.

For the azulgranas it is an important test against Porto, due to their irregular performance in the season so far. Both clubs have the same number of points (nine) and are defining the first place in Group H.

For Xavi Hernandez's squad, it means the possibility of leaving behind two seasons in which the team did not get past the group stage. They are relying on the goalscoring instinct of Poland's Robert Lewandowski and the midfield creation of Spain's Pedri and Germany's Gundogan.

For its part, Atletico Madrid, coached by Argentine Diego Simeone, wants to extend its winning streak against Feyennord of the Netherlands and also, in passing, ensure the leadership of the E key with eight points.

A good balance of play, especially inspired by Frenchman Antoine Griezmann, and quality performances by Spaniard Alvaro Morata and a remarkable defensive work.

For its part, Real Madrid, affected by a tremendous injury adversity, will face Napoli this Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu, while Real Sociedad will play against Salzburg and Sevilla against PSV on the same day.
