Havana, March 19 (ACN) -- Cuba defeated Guatemala 24-0 in five episodes today by the law of mercy, in the continuation of the Pan American under-15 baseball championship in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.

On the same day, Alexander Urquiola's disciples were defeated 10-11 by Venezuela in the continuation of the match sealed the day before by darkness and now have an even balance of two wins and two losses in their qualifying group.

With this result, the Caribbean islanders are obliged to beat Nicaragua tomorrow in the last match of the qualifying phase in order to be able to fight for one of the five tickets to the World Cup.
