Futsal World Championship 2024

Tashkent, Sept 24 (PL) Brazil thrashed Costa Rica 5-0 today and became the first team to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Uzbekistan 2024 Futsal World Championship.

The South Americans dominated clearly, with goals from Marcel Marques and Felipe Valerio in the first half, and Leandro Lino and Joao Victor Alves Sena 'Neguinho' (2) in the second half.

Incidentally, with what he did at the Universal Sports Complex in the city of Bukhara, Marques confirmed his position as the World Cup's top scorer and assist man.

It was Brazil's 20th victory over Costa Rica in this type of competition, and now they are waiting to find out their opponent in the quarterfinals, who will be the winner of the Iran-Morocco match.
