Madrid, Oct 3 (PL) The Cívitas Metropolitano stadium, home of Atlético de Madrid, will be partially closed for the next three matches of the Spanish League, following the incidents that took place in the recent derby against Real Madrid, and LaLiga Competition Committee decided to close the side of the stands where objects were thrown onto the stadium grass, in addition to the red and white club having to pay a fine of 45,000 euros.

According to the report of the aforementioned committee, the partial closure for the following three matches to be played at the Metropolitano, sectors 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 132, and 133, which make up the so-called “lower south end”, and to which reference is made in the referee's report of the game between the two Madrid teams, will be closed.

The referee, Busquets Ferrer, the main referee in the derby, stated that “in the 64th minute, from the lower south end, several objects were thrown at the area where the visiting goalkeeper was standing, but none of them hit him. Among these, three lighters and a bottle of water could be identified”.

The match ended in a one-goal draw - Militao scored for Los Merengues and Correa equalized in the 90+5 for Los Colchoneros - and was stopped for almost 20 minutes due to the incident.
