Cuba vs Trinidad and Tobago

Santiago de Cuba, Oct 11 (PL) The Leones del Caribe kept alive their aspirations of remaining in the CONCACAF Nations League A Series by signing their third draw in a row.

The duel was against Trinidad and Tobago at the Antonio Maceo International Stadium in Santiago de Cuba, the Technical Director of the Cuban eleven, Yunielys Castillo, told the press that this year they were never able to have the desired roster so it was necessary to work with the young players.

Castillo explained that he opted for offensive play because that is the characteristic of the most important players he has and emphasized the strategy of adapting the approach to the game situations.

Responding to a forecast for the fourth matchday to be played in Trinidad and Tobago on the 14th, Castillo considered it a difficult match "taking into account that Rey Angel and Karel Espino are missing due to accumulation of yellow cards", he explained.

One of the scorers of the day, Maykel Reyes, stated that the key to their result was to keep trying until the goal came. He acknowledged that they had foreseen a difficult match here, and that in Trinidad and Tobago the objective is the same, to go for the victory to stay in the A Series.

Minutes earlier, the most offensive match played by the Cuban national soccer team up to the third date of the CONCACAF Nations League had concluded, in which Maykel Reyes scored in the 64th minute and Elvis Casanova in the 75th minute.
