Rome, Dec 12 (PL) Associazione Sportiva Roma defeated Sporting Braga 3-0 today at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and moved up to 12th place in the European Football League.

A goal in the 10th minute by Lorenzo Pellegrini, off a pass from Nicola Zalewski, gave the “Capitolina” a lead they would not relinquish for the rest of the match to finish the sixth matchday with nine points, the result of two wins, three draws, and a setback.

In the second half, thanks to an assist from Manu Koné, Saud Abdulhamid outwitted the goalkeeper to increase the gap and Mario Hermoso did the same in stoppage time to seal the match against a Portuguese team that remains in 19th place.

There are several matches scheduled for this matchday, but Ajax-Lazio, Lyon-Eintracht, and Tottenham-Glasgow Rangers, all of which are among the top nine in the tournament, stand out.
