International Chapter of the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples begins in Venezuela

Caracas, June 22 (RHC)-- Organizations, social movements and political activists from different countries are participating this Monday in the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World, which is being held in Caracas until Thursday, June 24th, as part of the commemorative program in salute to the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo.

In this event, the International Chapter was installed with the participation of more than 600 delegates, including more than 350 foreigners, who will debate on the strategies of struggle of the progressive forces, unity and other issues of common interest for the peoples, according to international media.

The organization of the meeting has encouraged the participation of various sectors and spaces for dialogue and debates, among them the one related to Sexodiversity, Indigenous, Habitat and Housing, Women's Sector, among other representatives of the world society.

From his official Twitter account, the deputy of the National Assembly for Barinas, in Venezuela, Marcos Dugarte highlighted that the installation of the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples, with the participation of representatives from the five continents, is "a space that allows strengthening unity among nations and the creation of a strategic agenda."

The Vice President of International Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Adán Chávez, recalled the Bolivarian leader Hugo Chávez in the inauguration of the event, saying: "Chávez's teaching is still sown in the mind and heart of our people.  That is a great strength."
