La Paz, August 3 (RHC)-- The Argentinean ambassador in La Paz, Ariel Basteiro, announced that they will soon receive new evidentiary documents found by the Bolivian government on the shipment of war material to that country, which would ratify the link of former President Mauricio Macri with the coup carried out against Evo Morales in 2019.

"The last thing that would be missing would be for something to be found in the Air Force, some of what could have been left over from the use they made in the repression of November 12, 13, 14 and 15 to quell the social outbursts in Bolivia," the Argentinean diplomat told local Bolivian media.

The investigation being developed for sending Argentinean anti-riot material in the form of alleged smuggling, is being carried simultaneously with one associated with the dispatch of tear gas made by the then Ecuadorian president, Lenín Moreno, to the de facto government of Jeanine Añez during the massacres of Sankata and Sacaba in 2019.

"What was known in that case is that the request had arisen from a phone call from the Minister of Communication, Roxana Lizárraga, with a high authority of the Ecuadorian government," stated Basteiro, who emphasized to know "in what way the formal request was made" to Macri's administration.

In this sense, the Bolivian Minister of Defense, Edmundo Novillo, announced the discovery of an "entry document" of the Air Force which validates the arrival from Argentina of anti-tumult ammunition, pepper gas sprays and tear gas grenades, crucial in the reconstruction of the possible route of the supplies.

"For us, after having investigated the whole set of documentation, it has been an important work that I must recognize, for all the members of the Armed Forces who have cooperated and helped in the search and tracing of all the documentation related to this scandalous and surprising event", said Novillo.

This document is added to other similar ones found in Bolivia and that could have relevance in the subsequent course of the investigation, and in the incrimination of officials of Macri's cabinet in the coup d'état against the then President Evo Morales in 2019.
