La Paz, October 9 (RHC)-- Bolivian government spokesman Jorge Richter affirmed this Saturday in La Paz, capital of Bolivia, that the actors behind the current destabilization attempt against the government are the same ones who staged the 2019 coup d'état against former president Evo Morales.

Richter, a renowned political analyst, has stated that these characters seek political impunity by creating a chaotic climate, placing obstacles and creating problems for the government headed by Luis Arce.

For his part, Bolivia's Minister of Public Works, Edgar Montaño, reminded the opposition in the eastern department of Santa Cruz that the strike called for the 11th will generate losses of more than 32 million dollars.

"This anti-democratic offensive (...) what it seeks is to dislodge the president, Luis Arce, from his constitutionally achieved mandate, in order to achieve the impunity they are desperately seeking", he emphasized.

The official added that the recently called strike, scheduled for next October 11, will be in search of another bloodshed: "They are going to make an effort to mobilize huge finances," he emphasized.

The analyst and communicator also affirms that one of the objectives of the ultra-right is not to allow the elected government to rebuild the "shattered" Bolivia they left after the coup.

Richter concluded by regretting that "the mayors of La Paz and Cochabamba, who said they wanted to manage the country," abide by the anti-popular measure and deceive the people with a deceitful political discourse.

In the same tone, the Minister of Public Works, Services and Housing, Edgar Montaño Rojas, reiterated this Saturday his rejection of the strike called by some civic committees opposing the Government and described it as an excuse to hide the crimes they committed during the coup d'état of November 2019.

"This strike is political.  I want to emphasize that because no right of any citizen is being violated, they have only sought an excuse to, obviously, hide the crimes they have committed in the coup, along with Jeanine Áñez," asserted Montaño in a press conference.

Likewise, he pointed out that the normal operation of the state-owned companies is guaranteed, for the benefit of the population in general, for which he invited citizens to go and carry out their respective procedures.

"The Political Constitution of the State, gives us the right to free circulation, the right to work and the right to health, therefore, neither the Civic Committee, nor the governor (Luis Fernando Camacho) of Santa Cruz can restrict these rights," he said.
