La Paz, December 4 (RHC)-- The president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, said Friday that in that nation there are people who do not want the permanence of the Plurinational State and ignore the original Indigenous peoples.

The Bolivian head of state stressed that "it is important to realize that not everyone wants the Plurinational State, not everyone wants to recognize the original indigenous peoples.  Many want to return to the colonial republican state."

"There are people who do not want our Plurinational State.  They are resisting," he said during the inauguration of the annual meeting Mara Tantachawi of the Departmental Council of Markas and Ayllus of the Chuquiago Marka (CODEMAC - La Paz).

Arce indicated that there are sectors that intend to maintain a discriminatory and racist country.  "That is why this meeting that you are going to have is so important," he said.

The Bolivian president emphasized that the presence of the government is to support all the ancestral culture of the native Indigenous peoples, ensuring that it is maintained.  Likewise, he affirmed that he is betting that this ancestral culture "will continue to be generated in the future for our children."

"And here we are, sisters and brothers, to tell you that we are with you.  To wish you success in this Mara Tantachawi, that you reach good terms.   That everything goes well and in good time," said the Bolivian president.
