Bolivia participates with a large delegation in Parlatino's Regular Meeting

La Paz, February 11 (RHC)-- The presidents of the Senate, Andrónico Rodríguez, and of the Chamber of Deputies, Freddy Mamani, head Bolivia's broad representation at the XXXVI Ordinary Assembly of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (Parlatino), based in Panama.

Sources of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly (ALP) informed this Friday that in this forum the regional panorama will be analyzed in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also, the election of the authorities of the board of directors and the Advisory Council for the period 2022-2024 will take place.

According to the source, the ALP will also be represented by Ana Merelis (incoming vice-president for Bolivia before the Parlatino) and the outgoing vice-president, Faustino Ollisco.

Other Bolivian legislators attending are: Sara Kattya Condori, Alicia Ticona, Gonzalo Mendoza and Martha Ruiz, from Movimiento al Socialismo; Aleiza Rodríguez and Luis Zúñiga, from Comunidad Ciudadana; and Carlos Arriem, from Creemos.

Parlatino was created 57 years ago in Lima, Peru, with the purpose of generating regional initiatives of social, economic, human rights, gender, food security, health, education, environment and other fields with the support of the United Nations and other international organizations.
