No to NATO /// Protesters fill the streets of Madrid
Berlin, June 28 (RHC)-- In Germany, leaders of the G-7 pledged to support Ukraine in the war against Russia “for as long as it takes.” G-7 leaders concluded their summit with a pledge to spend $5 billion this year to help ensure worldwide food security after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine exacerbated a global food crisis.
On Tuesday, U.S. President Joe Biden travelled to a summit of NATO leaders in Madrid, where NBC reports he will announce an extended buildup of U.S. troops in Poland and the Baltic nations.
Ahead of the summit, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the military alliance would massively increase the number of its forces on high alert — from 40,000 to more than seven times that amount.
Meanwhile, thousands of anti-imperialist and anti-war protesters gathered in Madrid to protest NATO and its warmongering policies.
