Sao Paulo, November 15 (RHC)-- Brazil's vice-president-elect, Geraldo Alckmin, has announced who will make up the group in charge of the government transition in the areas of education, cities, infrastructure, sports, youth and culture, as well as who will head the subgroup in charge of children's issues and human rights.

Alckmin made the announcement during a press conference in Sao Paulo, together with other officials of the transition front-runner and Senator-elect Wellington Dias.  "On behalf of President Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva, I am pleased to announce new names that will be part of our team of experts in the transition government," the vice president previously expressed through his Twitter account.

On Tuesday, Alckmin announced other members of the team at a news conference in Brasilia, the Brazilian capital.  

The vice-president emphasized that those appointed will be free to invite like-minded people who can help with the task of collecting the necessary data and the opinions and ideas that will make the work be accomplished in the best possible way.  He announced that on Wednesday, the 16th, in Brasilia, the elected government will finalize the announcement of the technical groups for the transition.

The Brazilian vice president-elect also explained that the team will have in its possession on that day a report from the interim president of the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), Bruno Dantas, to help with the diagnostic work of the groups.  As part of the education group, the general coordinator of the National Campaign for the Right to Education, Andressa Pelanda, as well as the executive president of All for Education, Priscila Cruz, stand out.

In the cities category, urban planners such as Ermínia Maricato, and personalities such as the leader of the Homeless Workers Movement, Evanise Lopes Rodrigues, and the elected congressman Guilherme Boulos stand out.  
In sports, world champion and retired soccer player Raí Souza Vieira de Oliveira and Paralympic athletes Verônica Silva Hipólito and Mizael Conrado stand out.

The culture commission is headed by former minister Juca Ferreira, actress Lucélia Santos and singer Margareth Menezes.
