Putin telephone conversation

Moscow, June 24 (RHC) Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with his counterparts from Belarus and Kazakhstan, Alexander Lukashenko and Kasim-Yomart Tokaev, the latest developments in the country and thanked them both for their understanding, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

The presidential spokesman also said that the president also spoke with his Uzbek counterpart, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the information, Tokaev pointed out that the events taking place are Russia's internal affairs. "Constitutional order and the rule of law are a requirement for maintaining law and order in the country. This is the basis for the security of society," he noted.

On Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry labeled as fake the audio and images spread on the Internet on behalf of the founder of the Russian private military company Wagner, Evgueni Prigozhin, about alleged Army attacks on the rear of contractors.

Following the publication of the audios attributed to Prigozhin, Russia's Federal Security Service opened a file for armed mutiny.

This Saturday, the Russian capital and Moscow introduced the anti-terrorist regime for security reasons. The provinces of Lipetsk and Voronezh, as well as the cities of Moscow and Rostov, canceled scheduled mass meetings.

Regarding the situation in Rostov, where Wagner's units are located, the President described it as difficult but assured that all necessary measures will be taken to stabilize it. (Source: PL)
