Davos, January 18 (RHC)-- At the World Economic Forum in Davos, the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, supported capitalism in his speech and said that the Western world is in danger because "a vision of the world that leads to socialism" prevails in that hemisphere.

"The West is in danger because those who are supposed to defend the values of the West are co-opted by a vision of the world that inexorably leads to socialism, and consequently, to poverty."

The Argentinean president insisted that there are two models currently in conflict: free market capitalism and socialism, which he calls collectivism, and in this sense, he accused many leaders of abandoning the model of freedom of other visions of collectivism.

Milei catalogued the collection of taxes as a form of coercion by the State as a way to finance itself, and emphasized that "social justice is not social justice nor does it contribute to the general welfare".

On the other hand, he lashed out against feminism and environmental policies, affirming that socialism "maintains that human beings damage the planet and that it must be protected at all costs"; he also criticized population control policies through abortion.

Before ending his speech, President Milei sent a message against the State, asking those present not to give in to its advance.  "The State is not the solution.  The State is the problem itself."
