Caracas, February 11 (RHC)-- Venezuela's Ministers of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, and Foreign Affairs, Yvan Gil, said Saturday that the far-right leader and fugitive from justice, Julio Borges, continues his hate campaign against that country and has called for more aggressions and interference against the government of President Nicolás Maduro.

Through his social networks, Ñáñez categorized him and other representatives of the violent opposition as "the cause of the blockade and economic aggression against all Venezuelans," and expressed his certainty "that justice will come to them sooner rather than later."

For his part, Gil asserted that "the opposition's record is plagued with crimes and constant failure, that is why they turn to the media and their masters in the North, because they have no morals to face the people, much less their support.  The only way they know is imposition and illegality."

In this way, they rejected statements made this Friday by Borges, in which he called on the international community to pressure the Government of President Nicolás Maduro and demand what he called "fair and transparent" electoral conditions, through acts of interference that would hinder the electoral process.

Instead of blaming the migratory phenomenon on the unilateral coercive measures of the U.S. that he and other leaders of the violent right wing requested from Washington, Borges expressed that such situation will not be solved with what he called "the stabilization of the dictatorship".

"What is needed and hopefully it will be possible is to articulate a strong front to put pressure on electoral conditions in Venezuela, on the qualification of María Corina, with international observation," he said.

In an attempt to stoke the fear of communism, to point out the State as allegedly corrupt and not to mention by name the most interfering country in the world, he "warned" about alleged interferences in Venezuela by countries such as Iran, Cuba, Russia and China.

In his opinion, these sovereign nations opposed to Washington's hegemonism have interests contrary to those of the region -- in other words, to U.S. interests in the region -- and take advantage of the "institutional weakness" to "operate as they please."

Furthermore, he accused President Nicolás Maduro of "blackmailing" that country "with migration, international alliances and oil", a narrative generated by the right wing to avoid recognizing the victory of the Venezuelan people over sanctions and imperialist aggressiveness.

He is accused by the Venezuelan Public Prosecutor's Office, based on compelling evidence, for the crimes of treason, conspiracy and association, among others. Several arrest warrants have been requested against him, for example, for his participation in the coup attempt of April 30, 2019, in the theft of Venezuela's gold deposited in England, and for the planning and financing of the assassination attempt against President Maduro, perpetrated on August 4, 2018.

Recently, the Venezuelan Public Prosecutor's Office found him responsible for participating in a conspiracy against the consultative referendum of December 3, 2023, carried out to complement and strengthen the legal defense for Venezuela's sovereignty in the Essequibo.

Considered one of the visible faces of the violent agenda against Venezuela and the peace and stability of the country, it is no coincidence that Borges intercedes for María Corina Machado, disqualified from holding public and political office for the next 15 years.  She is responsible for causing serious damage to the South American country with her continuous calls for blockades and sanctions.

The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, and other deputies, have accused her of openly promoting violent actions and wanting to reedit the guarimbas and the murder of young people.

In addition, she is accused of unpatriotic acts, treason and disrespect to the laws and the Constitution, such as having requested the former U.S. president, George W. Bush, a military invasion against the South American nation.

In spite of this, he intends to impose her political candidacy as "president" of Venezuela.
