Caracas, September 10 (RHC)-- The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, asserted that no ambassador can come to the country believing that he will “overthrow the legitimately constituted Government.”

During press conference in the Venzuelan capital, Diosdado Cabello addressed the departure from the country of the former candidate of the far right, Edmundo González Urrutia.

According to Cabello, the fact that since the day following the election, the opposition leader went to the embassy of the Netherlands, reveals that “his plan was never electoral.”  At the same time, Diosdado Cabello questioned the decision of the embassy of the Netherlands to host the former candidate, suggesting that the action reflects a position aligned with imperialist interests.

In this regard, he stated that no ambassador should come to the country with the intention of "overthrowing the legitimately constituted Government," and that diplomats must respect the host country and seek constructive relations.

In addition, the PSUV leader stated that González Urrutia left Venezuela because "he was fleeing fascism," and not the Venezuelan government.

At the same time, he disqualified the statement of Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares, who indicated that there were no negotiations between Spain and Venezuela regarding the political asylum of González Urrutia.  Cabello argued that the departure of the former candidate was discussed and managed previously, and that Albares' statements were contradictory to the facts.

Cabello also directed criticism toward Argentina's president, Javier Milei, urging him to focus on his country's internal problems rather than getting involved in Venezuela's affairs.  Along those lines, he pointed out that the country governed by the far-right leader faces serious economic challenges, such as poverty and inflation, and suggested that Milei's leadership should focus on solving these problems.

The first vice president of the PSUV also referred to the United States' relationship with international conspiracies against left-wing governments, stating that Washington acts based on its interests, rather than its diplomatic relations.
