Israel and Argentina agree to expand military cooperation

Tel Aviv, December 4 (RHC)-- The governments of Israel and Argentina agreed on Monday to address issues related to military cooperation in different important areas, in the context in which the Government of Javier Milei expressed its support for the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip.

"The parties agreed to expand their cooperation in defense matters, focusing on joint projects in cyber defense, unmanned aerial vehicles, border protection, satellite communications and future G2G contracts in light weapons, light ammunition, radios and related equipment," the Israeli Ministry of Defense reported on the social network X.

During the official visit of the Argentine Minister of Defense, Luis Alfonso Petri, to Israel and the meeting he held with his counterpart in that country, the announcement was made between the parties.

Argentina and Israel stressed the value of continuing to assist and promote security in their territories.  Through a message addressed to the Argentine president, the Minister of Defense assured support for Israel's so-called right to "self-defense."

On the other hand, the representative of the Israeli portfolio proposed to implement multi-year similar actions of strategic seminars to advance bilateral relations in the military field.

Regarding Petri's visit, the representative of Israel stressed that "it is proof of Argentina's unwavering support for Israel in the current war."
