Ramallah, December 14 (RHC)-- The Palestinian Foreign Affairs Ministry denounces in the strongest terms the “brutal massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza.”

The ministry said the Israeli attack was a “direct consequence” of the international community’s “failure” to honour its obligations.  “A failure that emboldens the [Israeli] occupation to escalate its systematic crimes and continue its deliberate destruction of Gaza, rendering it uninhabitable and forcibly displacing its population,” the ministry said.

“The ongoing devastation in northern Gaza, now expanding into Gaza City is not an act of self-defence or security. It is a calculated policy aimed at obliterating Palestinian existence in the Strip.”

The ministry also demanded an end to the “genocidal war”, the protection of Palestinians and the implementation of UN resolutions “without any delay”.
