As long as the planes are flying, the priority will be to search for Venezuelans wherever they are, by order of President Nicolás Maduro, said the Minister of the Interior, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.
Caracas, April 12 (RHC)-- A group of 178 Venezuelan citizens, including 16 women and 162 men, returned to Venezuela this Thursday from the United States as part of the government's "Return to the Homeland" program, reported the Minister of the Interior, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.planes are flying, the priority will be to seek out Venezuelans wherever they are, by order of President Nicolás Maduro," the Minister stated. Cabello emphasized that the reception is based on solidarity and that protocol will be followed for everyone. Those who have responsibilities with the law assume their responsibility. Those who do not, transportation will be provided to their homes, he added.
He also stated that the return of the Venezuelans depends on the U.S. ensuring they are ready for shipment and not being delayed. He also noted that the process is disorganized in that country.
“One day they announce that they will send a certain number of people, and when the plane arrives, we receive another. As you can see, they said 300, and 178 arrived. When they organize themselves, we will be ready to search for our compatriots,” he emphasized.
Diosdado Cabello stated that the planes have security measures in place for the transportation of compatriots, despite the imperialist economic sanctions and blockade, which prevent the purchase of spare parts, equipment, and maintenance required to keep the aircraft in good condition.
He also alluded to the legislative ambiguity of the U.S. courts and the desperation to show the world that they were right. He asserted that “in reality, they are not right,” referring to the fact that the deportees are hardworking people and not criminals.
The Minister of the Interior explained that 90 percent of the migrants kidnapped in El Salvador do not have a criminal record. He explained that his relatives from Venezuela have requested criminal records, and virtually none have a record of any crimes committed.
Regarding the now-defunct Aragua Train, he emphasized that it is a false narrative, the product of historical manipulation related to capitalism and the ambition associated with drug trafficking. Diosdado Cabello emphasized that the Venezuelan authorities fought that criminal group.
"From here, they took him to Colombia. Today they have him there, protected by (Iván) Duque, (Juan Manuel) Santos, (Álvaro) Uribe, and (Andrés) Pastrana, and with that, they create propaganda and harm our country," emphasized Cabello, who has previously insisted that these former Colombian presidents have ties to drug trafficking and provide protection to members of that now-defunct gang. He also emphasized that the Aragua Train "is a manipulation, a big lie, and we have proven it."
