Deir el-Balah, April 13 (RHC)-- Reporting from Deir el-Balah, Al Jazeera correspondent Hind Khoudary said: "At Al-Aqsa Hospital, we see the ambulances transferring those injured and killed every day.  As the UN human rights office said earlier, many of the dead are women and children."

Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Gaza’s civil defence agency, told Al Jazeera at least 500 Palestinian children have been killed across Gaza since the war resumed on March 18.

Many people also remain trapped under the rubble and rescue teams are unable to get to them.  Earlier, a Palestinian girl who was wounded alongside her family had her arm amputated.  She later died due to loss of blood.

There are many stories like this during the ongoing mass displacement that is squeezing people into smaller areas of Gaza.  Palestinians are starved, drained, and exhausted as no single truck carrying food has entered Gaza for weeks.
