Damascus, June 23 (RHC)-- At least four civilians have been killed and several others injured in a car bomb attack carried out by foreign-sponsored militants in Syria's southwestern province of Dara'a, Press TV reports.

The blast took place as a car rigged with explosives went off near the entrance of the predominantly Christian town of Izra, located 80 kilometers (49 miles) south of the capital, Damascus, on Monday. No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack yet; however, it bears the hallmarks of those carried out by Takfiri terrorists.

The development came only a day after at least one person was killed in a bombing in the northeastern Syrian province of Hasakah. A police source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said a bomber clad in an explosives-laden vest blew himself up inside Hadaya Hotel in al-Qamishli city, located on the border with Turkey and 680 kilometers (420 miles) northeast of Damascus, killing one person and injuring 11 others.

The source added that the terrorist had killed the guard at the hotel gate before sneaking into the hotel basement to carry out the assault. Local authorities identified the attacker as a Saudi national.

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. Western powers and some of their regional allies -- especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey -- are supporting the militants. The conflict has reportedly left more than 230,000 dead, including almost 11,500 children.
