Caracas, November 21 (RHC-PL) -- Amid the economic war and an over 60-percent fall in the price of oil, the Bolivarian Government continues committed to the Venezuelan working class, said President Nicolas Maduro.
During the signing of the Framework Collective Convention of Public Service Workers, at Plaza Bolivar in Caracas, Maduro said the measure responds to the commitment to workers and the transformation of public service.
This contract will protect 2.5 million workers of the homeland; this is history in the making, as this is the first collective contract signed in the socialist public service of Venezuela, said Maduro.
He noted that ever since the arrival to power of the Bolivarian Revolution, in 1999, the oil revenues are spent on the social inclusion of the people, and stated that for the first time the crude has served as a lever for the social development of the nation.
