La Paz, Mar 9 (RHC) The National Meteorology and Hydrology Service of Bolivia has issued a red alert because of the heavy rains and electrical storms hitting Tarija and Pando, putting six departments under alert.
The local meteorology service forecasts heavy rains from Wednesday through Friday in Tarija, Pando, La Paz, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz and Beni.
The downpours have been blamed for mudslides that have forced the closing of roads and bridges.
