Managua, November 29 (RHC)-- Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega arrived in Cuba Tuesday to attend the memorial service for his long-time friend, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro.
The Nicaraguan head of state is among leaders from around the globe, who have joined Havana residents at the Revolution Square for a mass rally to pay homage to Fidel –one of the greatest world figures of both the 20th and 21st centuries.
Upon learning of Friday night's passing of Comandante Fidel, Ortega praised Fidel's legacy, as a champion of freedom, truth and justice, and his revolutionary solidarity with other peoples in Latin America and around the world.
