Havana, December 15 (RHC)-- Cuban Parliament President Esteban Lazo met Wednesday in Havana with his counterpart from Equatorial Guinea Gaudencio Mohaba, who is on an official visit to Cuba.
During the exchange, the two legislative leaders highlighted the legacy of Cuban Revolution leader, the late Fidel Castro, particularly Cuba's decisive role in the independence struggle of several African nations.
The president of the chamber of deputies of Equatorial Guinea noted that following those countries' attainment of independence and also on Fidel's initiative, Cuba implemented several cooperation programs in such key sectors as health and education.
Both legislative leaders agreed that in order to follow Fidel's internationalist legacy, Cuba and Equatorial Guinea must work together toward broadening and strengthening links in these and other sectors.
