Santiago de Cuba, March 7 (RHC)-- Floral tributes sent by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and President Raul Castro were placed on Thursday at the mausoleum of the Third Front municipality, in Santiago de Cuba province. The tribute was in honor of combatants of the guerrilla front founded on March 6, 1958 by Revolution Commander Juan Almeida.
Students from the Camilo Cienfuegos Military School of Contramaestre municipality participated in the honor guard. Flowers were placed on the tomb treasuring Almeida’s mortal remains by leaders of the Cuban Communist Party, the government, the Revolutionary Armed Forces and by veterans of the eastern Cuban province and the municipality.
