United Nations, September 24 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel expressed on Monday Cuba's disagreement with the philosophy of domination that exists in the world today.

As part of his speech during the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit hosted by the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Cuban president explained that "international peace remains threatened by the philosophy of domination."

According to Díaz-Canel, "to achieve a world in which peace reigns, we must address the root causes that generate them."  The Cuban head of state highlighted the island's collaboration with African nations, which has remained a priority of the Cuban Revolution for more than fifty years.

The Cuban president also said that the only tribute worthy of the memory of Nelson Mandela is to contribute to the development of disadvantaged nations.
