Mexico City, Mar 19, (RHC), – Some five hundred delegates will be attending the 19th National Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba to take place next March 22 to 23 in the Mexican city of Villahermosa, in Tabasco state.
Jesus Escamilla, director of the Mexican Movement of Solidarity with Cuba, stated that the event will seek concrete initiatives to strengthen support for the Caribbean nation, a country he described as an example of the construction of a fairer society.
One of the central themes of the meeting will be the struggle for freedom of Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero and Ramón Labañino, the three members of the Cuban Five that remain unjustly imprisoned in the United States.
Participants will also demand the lifting of the criminal economic blockade imposed by Washington against Havana, which has been thoroughly condemned by the international community.
