Washington, March 11 (RHC)-- The US Department of State has added five more Cuban bodies to its List of Restricted Entities and Sub entities Associated With Cuba, a hostile and unjust step used by the Trump Administration in its animosity towards the largest island in the Caribbean.

A media note points out that the regulation is due to the support provided by the island to the government of the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, legitimately elected last May.

The text deliberately accuses Cuban companies of benefiting the military, intelligence agencies and security services, elements that, according to analysts, are part and parcel of the US rhetoric and strategy to suffocate the country's economy.

Washington also announced sanctions against a Russian bank that has commercial ties with the Venezuelan state oil company, PDVSA.

Cuban minister of Foreign Affairs blasted the announcement.

“I reject the US State Department arbitrary incorporation of new Cuban entities to the infamous list drafted on November of 2017 and 2018 of Cuban companies under additional blockade measures. No Cuban entity should be included in that list,” Rodriguez twitted.
