La Paz, January 24 (RHC)-- The acting Foreign Minister of Bolivia's coup government, Yerko Núñez, has announced the suspension of diplomatic relations with Cuba.   At a press conference in La Paz, Núñez said that such a decision responds to the alleged "offenses" of Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.

The de facto government headed by the self-proclaimed president Jeanine Áñez, since it usurped power in the context of the coup d'état against Evo Morales, has attacked Cuba, especially the health personnel working in that country.

In spite of the fact that Cuban doctors returned to their country, the coup authorities continue to attack their solidarity work, which benefited hundreds of thousands of Bolivian families, especially the poor, as Áñez did on January 22nd at a ceremony to celebrate the founding of the Plurinational State.

Meanwhile, many Bolivians are calling for the doctors to return, because the coup regime does not have the capacity to replace the services suspended since the departure of the Cuban medical brigade from the Andean Amazonian country.
