Havana, February 29 (RHC)-- From now on, birth, marriage, and death certificates in Cuba will not have an expiration date, as established in the Extraordinary Official Gazette Number 9 of 2020, published by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic.

Also, some data appearing on marriage and death certificates have been eliminated.

The death certificate will not state the place of birth or the marital status of the deceased, and the marriage certificate will not contain the surnames of the parents of the bride and groom.

Only the certificate of unmarried status will be kept with an expiration date, which will be valid for 180 days.

The Resolution establishes that in all the certifications that are issued, a note will be added, stating that they do not have an expiration date.
