Beijing, May 31, (RHC), -- A compilation of the so-called Reflections columns by Cuban revolutionary leader, Fidel Castro, dealing with issues such as peace and disarmament, was launched in Beijing, in a bilingual Chinese/Spanish edition.
The book is a joint effort of the Cuban Embassy in that Asian country and the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament (APD), an organization confered the Message for Peace award by the United Nations for its efforts to promote friendship and cooperation between China and the rest of the world.
That Association's general secretary Zhu Rui, and representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice, the Chinese Communist Party, the Communist Youth, as well as former ambassadors in Latin America, attended the presentation of the book at the Cuban embassy.
Cuban ambassador Alberto Blanco stated that Fidel Castro reaffirms in those reflections his universal and visionary analysis of world events. Chinese painter Song Bin, a member of the APD, presented Ambassador Blanco one of his own works, with words by Fidel Castro: "We are not in favor of war, but of peace among all peoples."
