Havana, June 14 (RHC)-- Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced on Monday the U.S. blockade measures in force against entrepreneurs in the Caribbean country, despite Washington's alleged support to that sector.

The U.S. government maintains 422 hotels and private rental houses on its 'List of Prohibited Accommodations in Cuba', although it claims to support Cuban entrepreneurs, the foreign minister recalled in a message on Twitter.

However, and contrary to the discourse, the U.S. government maintains the suspension of cruises, flights, and people-to-people contact, he added.

On June 5, 2019, the ban on the arrival of cruise ships to Cuban ports came into force during the intensification of hostility against the island by Donald Trump's administration.

A day earlier, the White House had announced an additional package to the measures with which it reversed the developing process of a thaw between Washington and Havana that occurred in the final stage of Barack Obama's administration .

The new provisions also banned travel by passenger ships, recreational vessels, and private aircraft from the United States to Cuba, which impacted entrepreneurs linked to tourism.
