President Diaz-Canel receives new ambassadors to Cuba

Havana, June 23 (RHC)-- President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Wednesday received the credentials of new ambassadors to Cuba, at a ceremony held at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana.

The president expressed to the diplomats his government's willingness to continue developing bilateral relations, and thanked them for their support against the US blockade, reported national television.

According to the official website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the head of State welcomed Flavio Amaury Rondon, ambassador of the Dominican Republic; David Humberto Cruz, El Salvador; Vehbi Esgel Etensel, Turkey, and Luis Alfredo Ilarregui, Argentina.

Also Benaoyagha Bernard Mese Okoyen, from  Nigeria; Roberto Vellano, Italy; Maher El-Adawy, Egypt; Seyed Mohammad Hadi Sobhani, Iran; Hirata Kenji, Japan, and Kasim Asker Hasan Ali, ambassador from Iraq.

At the ceremony, the Cuban president was accompanied by the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcelino Medina.
