Havana, July 29 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel thanked Thursday his counterpart from the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce, for sending a donation to help the Cuban people in the COVID-19 confrontation.

Díaz-Canel reiterated on Twitter the willingness of the Caribbean island to collaborate with the Andean nation.

In the same social media network, the Bolivian leader once again expressed solidarity with the Caribbean nation, which, he said, "taught us that solidarity is sharing the little you have with those who need it most."

"In the framework of reciprocity between peoples, we approved the donation of syringes, food and biosecurity supplies to the sister Republic of Cuba, which taught us that solidarity is sharing what little you have with those who need it most," posted Arce, from his official profile.

In another tweet, the Bolivian dignitary denounced the damages of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, a policy of interference intensified in times of pandemic.

"All our solidarity with the people and Government of Cuba, which faces not only the effects of the pandemic but also the brutal economic and commercial blockade imposed by the U.S. and that, today more than ever, affects the rights to health and food of the Cuban brothers and sisters," said the Bolivian leader.
