Havana, August 13 (RHC)-- Cuban health authorities reported on Friday 8 312 new people infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and 85 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Thus, the Caribbean nation accumulates 500,216 patients diagnosed with the virus since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, and 3,842 fatalities.
As of midnight, there were 35 649 active cases hospitalized.
Havana reported 1222 cases, Ciego de Avila 976 and Cienfuegos 840.
